armored
At the wheel of the imposing vehicle - still long by 6 feet wide and nearly 3 meters! - The Legionnaires traveled about 40 km to go to Reims, the city where there was a station, according to the gendarmerie of Reims, confirming a report in the Daily Union.
Thursday early morning, the tank was discovered in the city center, spotlessly parked in front of a shop on an empty parking lot.
Having aroused astonishment of passersby and police rushed to the site, the VAB was recovered in the afternoon by soldiers from the 1st Foreign Regiment of genius (1 REG), based in Laudun (Gard), which belonged to the deserter.
The latter, whose nationality was not specified, had himself warned his comrade and had expressed its intention to terminate his contract. He was still at large yesterday.
It's true that back home in armored is not only slow but not very discreet!
